Who we are

Teeth Team is a nationally recognised child dental health improvement charity that includes school-based supervised tooth brushing, fluoride varnish application, clinical dental assessments and signposting for primary and secondary dental care access.

Teeth Team was started in 2010 due to concerns about the extremely high incidence of dental decay in children in Hull and surrounding areas. Through a collaborative partnership between local dental practices, schools and parents, Teeth Team works to improve the dental health of children across the country.

As a charity, Teeth Team relies heavily on grants and donations from charitable trusts and foundations, and also welcomes direct donations from the public.

What people say

I love the fact that the children do get to brush their teeth while they're at school, because I'm aware that some of them don't at all at home.
Jade Vincent, Francis Askew Primary School Teacher
It has made a real difference to these children. They need to be on the same level as everybody else to have the same chances. I do think it gives them aspirations.
Ruth Murray, Headteacher, Francis Askew Primary School
